I have been lucky to have many “sole-mates” in my life. Now, I am not talking about love interests; however, I thought I had a few of them too. I am talking about the individuals in your life that you are able to walk, run, and talk with. It really is amazing the connection you can build with someone during daily, weekly, or monthly physical activity outings.
My roommate and I walk a six mile path to Lake Michigan and back from our apartment. Not only does she help me stay physically active, but she also helps make the workout more enjoyable. We share stories, dreams, blog ideas, recipes and a love for health.
“Sole-mates” are just that, they are great companions that keep you on your feet, get you active, and are always in your heart.
Who is your “sole-mate?”

I still consider you to be my “sole-mate”.
Aww…I miss our walks and runs too Emily!
My coworker is my sole-mate. She is my workout buddy! She helps keep me motivated.
Great post!
Hi Kristen, I am happy that you found your sole-mate! They really do make staying active more enjoyable.
And I thought you were going to write about sneakers/fave sneakers (Brooks would be mine). I have a friend I play tennis with, it’s a fun part of the week. When I run I actually prefer solo to sole mate.
Haha…that would’ve been a good idea to write about! I think you can have a tennis sole-mate too
Awww Brooke, I love this! Happy 1 yr roomie anniversary soul-mate
Happy 1 year too! Best roomie EVER 😉
