I am having an amazing time at The Food and Nutrition Conference and Expo (FNCE)! This year the conference is being held in Houston, Tx at the George R. Brown Convention Center from October 19-22, 2013. I am sad that tomorrow will be my last day here. I have met so many amazing Registered Dietitians and listened to some wonderful nutrition presentations! Below is my FNCE flare 
One of my favorite quotes from this year’s trip was provided at the Culture Symposium session entitled, “Preaching Healthy Food Choices in Faith-Based Communities.”
The metaphor of the melting pot is unfortunate and misleading. A more accurate analogy would be a salad bowl, for, though the salad in is an entity, the lettuce can still be distinguished from the chicory, the tomatoes from the cabbage.”
