Single ladies get a pen and piece of paper out to write your new year resolutions!   This year, I wanted to help you add three key resolutions to your list.  Dating can be rough and 2011 may prove to be no different, but these three tips may help you get a jump start on the dating scene.

1)  EAT HEALTHY.  Not only should this be one of your new year resolutions, but it is also something you should strive for everyday!  If you want to pick up a man you need to be able to form sentences at dinner and add to the conversation.  Skipping meals may make you feel tired, cranky, and anti-social.  Food supplies us with energy to think and thus will help you talk.  It is also important to watch your portion sizes if you would like your waist to stay the same size.  Especially, if you are eating out on a lot of dates you will want to make healthier food selections and “choose wisely” just as the  Grail Knight told Indy to do in the movie Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.  If you choose unhealthy dishes luckily your body won’t shrivel up and die like in the movie, but putting on extra pounds won’t help you get more dates.

2) STAY ACTIVE.  Try to get in some form of physical activity everyday!  Staying fit helps us love our bodies and feel confident.  Men like fit and confident women and don’t want to reassure us every five seconds that our butts are not big and we are not in fact fat.  You need to love yourself before anyone else can!

3) BE SAFE.  In this dating age, diseases are everywhere.  Your health is important, so protect your body!  If you feel like cuddling…use a blanket!  If you really want to be safe get tested before and after each cuddling partner.

For those of you that may be in a relationship or are married resolutions one and two still apply to you!  However, number three should be changed to “cuddle as often as you can.”  It is good exercise that leads to long lasting and healthy relationships…so get busy!

If you happen to be a single male reading this post – Follow all three!  Women want partners that are also healthy, active, and safe.

I hope you all have a Happy and Healthy New Year!

I like this idea as I feel investing in your health is a way of investing in your self which helps the dating process. What are your personal resolutions? Leave them on my resolution post would love to hear.
