About Brooke Schantz

Brooke SchantzBrooke Blue Schantz holds a B.S. (Purdue University) in dietetics and M.S. (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign) in Nutritional Sciences. During her Masters studies she completed her Dietetic Internship and became a Registered Dietitian (R.D.). She is passionate about the field of dietetics, promoting the RD credential and protesting inaccurate nutrition information!

Brooke became interested in nutrition in eighth grade when she attended a 4-H Food Science and Nutrition Workshop at Purdue University and was lucky enough to realize then what she loved doing. She believes that nutrition is a powerful tool we can use daily to fuel our bodies, help us grow, and live a better life. Brooke knows that magic pill of healthy eating and weight-loss is not found over-the-counter or on a prescription pad it is finally realizing you are worth it! The magic pill is YOU!

Brooke is an active member in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, formerly known as the American Dietetic Association (ADA). She is the Secretary of the Chicago Dietetic Association, Nominating Chair Elect of the Illinois Dietetic Association, and a member of the New Member Advisory Sub-Committee of the Member Value Committee for the 2010-2011 program year of the Board of Directors (BOD).
